Anyone had urethane film fitted to their Gallardo / Ferrari? Does it work? Can you see it once on or detect the edges? Is it best avoided? Anyone had quotes?

Cheers in advance for any help.

Often depends on colour of car. Black shows the lines quite clearly after waxing, others less so.

What colour is yours?

This stuff is supposed to be the best available at the moment and their adverts feature a Gallardo so they definately do kits for them

I've recently had mine done by Paintshield based in Grantham. These are the people who advertise the system with a picture of a red G and the plastic shielding material shown in lilac. It's not entirely invisible when you're next to it as you can see a faint line where the material has an edge. The job however is first class and can't be seen from a short distance away. It also allows the pearlescent (yellow) effect to come through without any matting down so still looks glorious in the sunshine. Highly recommended as I can't see it being too easy to dab a glob of touch up paint without it being noticed.
