Suzuki GSX S125 cutting out on idle
Discussion
The bike is only 9 months old and still under manufacturers gaurantee, however I'm taking my MOD 2 on it in a couple of days time, and can't get it in to be looked at before then. It happened twice while waiting behind a vehicle at junctions, with clutch in, first gear selected, and back and front brakes applied. It just cut out on idle, as if the side stand had been put down. There were no instrument panel fault alarms, and it started back up again straight away. Any ideas? I could do without this happening on my test tbf.

I'd definitely check the side stand switch. How are you doing mod 2 on a 125?
Under 19?Anyway OP, it's worth your while popping back to the dealer for reassurance to make sure there is nothing actually wrong with the bike, however I suspect it's just a combination of new bike, lean fuels settings for emissions and sitting with the clutch in causing a tiny bit of drag on the engine.
Good luck with the test.

Thanks for the good wishes. I've got it booked in to get it checked at first opportunity, but I'll have a look the stand switch as suggested. It's a bit strange that it started no problem both times straight away. The revs did seem at little erratic sometimes on idle, but not all the time. Seems intermittent, maybe clutch adjustment ? Hopefully it'll hold up, and not cut out half way round a roundabout or in the middle of a junction !!Anyway OP, it's worth your while popping back to the dealer for reassurance to make sure there is nothing actually wrong with the bike, however I suspect it's just a combination of new bike, lean fuels settings for emissions and sitting with the clutch in causing a tiny bit of drag on the engine.

Just an update. You were right, they did a little adjustment to the fuel setting/tickover and all is fine, plus I got through MOD2 first time. Oh by the way, I'm not under 19, but over 68, and just luvin me little 125 !!Anyway OP, it's worth your while popping back to the dealer for reassurance to make sure there is nothing actually wrong with the bike, however I suspect it's just a combination of new bike, lean fuels settings for emissions and sitting with the clutch in causing a tiny bit of drag on the engine.
