It's time for another service (comes round quick doesn't it?) so off I toddle to consult my friendly local dealership. Transpires that my friendly local dealership has started paying its Grand Fromage about £500k per year, all it's mechanics are on at least £100k and need to extort money from customers to pay wages. Needless to say I informed tham that I could perform a basic service myself for less than a quarter of the quoted price (and I'd have more fun doing it) Trouble is I would like the book stamped and the service history kept up to date.

What sort of exotic machinery atracted such a ludicrous quote I hear you ask, Ferrari, Porsche or maybe even a TVR? Wrong, wrong and (sadly) wrong again. The hard charging chariot which attracted such a ludicrous quote is none other than a mighty 1000cc Toyota Yaris. Now obviously the brakes will need a complete overhaul since my most recent trip to The Green Hell. VMax has also taken its toll and I think my Tubi exhaust needs some attention so I was expecting expensive but that price was ludicrous! ;)

Joking aside though, does anyone know of a decent Toyota or general Japanese independent specialist around the St Albans/Watford/Welwyn area. I don't mind going a little further if it's really good. I also don't mind paying if its really good. I've had dealings with the origin dealer who quoted me unhappy (I bought new from there) since its changed hands and I haven't been impressed.

Thanks
