Shed mentality, brand new car?

Have we reached peak leasing?
that's next level leasing. Top tip. This is the way to maximise the value or cost to you of the lease. It doesn't quite work if you are doing higher mileages. Also depending on car you can avoid tyres. For example I am on an 8k/yr deal but at 20k at 16 months. My service is 2 yrs or 20k but serviced a month late. Tyres are at 3-4mm on front and won't last to end of lease so I will swap the front to the rear which have 6mm. Tyre swap won't work for all cars of course.

Return car month or so early & you don’t require the second service
Or even better... ensure the first service is a few weeks late so it’s not overdue when u hand back the keys.Just common sense. Service the car within the manufacturer guidelines but as late as you can and save a couple of hundred quid because it only needs one service not two. Rotate the wheels to even out tyre wear and save a couple of hundred quid by not having to replace them at all.
Why wouldn’t you?

Exactly this. I do the tyre rotation thing on all my cars, to eek a little more life out of them and to wear all 4 out at the same time so I only have to take one trip to get them changed. Why wouldn’t you?

Not seeing a problem here.edc said:

Makes sense that if you can't afford to own the car you also can't afford to maintain it
Or what about this unfortunate PH'er who owns their car but can't afford to maintain it (at least in the short term). https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
This just means that anyone can make up these phrases to suit their circumstance
Reminds me of this:

“Eighty thousand dollar car, but can’t afford to fill the tank!” Lol.

Not really. If you can't afford to maintain a car then you can't afford to own it either, unless you want to use it a drive ornament.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

In my city, if yr putting fuel in yr car late at night in inner city stations, you often see young men putting amounts of say £3.56 in loose change in extremely expensive, high end - 5/6 figure cars.
I’m guessing lots of “hired” cars for the weekend?
Are you near Bradford by any chance? I’m guessing lots of “hired” cars for the weekend?
