morning all.

my homies and i are seriously considering camping at the british grand prix this year. does anyone have any experience of this? any advice? whats the best campsite/field?

we plan to drive up early saturday morning to catch Qualifying, then set up camp, and soak up up some racing vibes etc....

Its been a few years since i last camped at Silverstone for the Grand Prix but unless you have a pitch pre-booked i think you will struggle to find anywhere to camp on Saturday morning.

I believe the camping there has been reduced has silverstone now use the local farmers fields which were camp sites for parking.

I camp every year - get there lunchtime Thursday and camp at Litchlake - £25 a night for a tent.
Last year...early Thursday evening the campers were half way down the second Litchlake field.

I'd suggest ringing the campsites for advice - but turning up on Saturday doubt very much that you will be that close to the circuit....benefits are that it will be cheaper to camp the further out you are
