Just had my day made... by an insurance company!

Phoned up for a quote on an S3 and was stunned to find it HALF what I had expected, AND they'll let me store the car off my own property!

Better take this S series hunting seriously now

Anyone want to buy a Puma?

Happy hunting, enjoy your test drives!

Who did you get the quote from?

Quote came from Mannings...

Only conditions were that I need to be in the TVRCC (so joining in a moment - been one of those "to do" things for a while!) and the car needs a Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser.

I'd somehow missed out Mannings when I phoned round first time...

Most insurance companies want an approved alarm, I’ve got to get a cat 1 alarm for the Griff.

Seems fine to me - didn't think either requirement was out of line to be honest.

So... gotta sell the Puma, buy a daily hack and then get an S...!

They are great fun, I’m sure you’ll enjoy, I’m going to be sad to see mine go, still I have a shiny Griff to make up for it

So you're selling an S and I'm looking for an S. Mr V, is this a roundabout way of saying "Podie, are you interested in buying my S?"

it’s in the classifieds so if you like the look let me know

Have fun trying a few out though, they are a great first TVR, but be warned TVR’s are addictive!

Dern - I am looking and I have spotted your car (looks good).

Really need to sell the Puma and sort out a daily hack first though...

Well guys I actually sold my Puma to buy my S3 and will finally pick it up tomorrow, unfortunally im off to the USA for a week on Thursday so it will have to sleep in my garage until I get home next week.
My puma was 2 years old and i got £8895 for it in June this year, bought a sierra to run around in in the meantime.
Podie do you work at Dunton or Trafford House as I can pop over at lunchtime next week and you can have a buzz around Basildon in it if you want.

Can you not get the factory fitted one approved instead ? Seems rather an expensive way forward otherwise...

The later car have an insurance approved alarm as standard, mine isn’t approved as I checked.

Mannings ask for a year's performance car experience before they'll cover you. Do you have this, or doesn't and S fall into this category? (Sorry if this scuppers your plans).
