Megane DCI - 'Check Injection'

Hello,
My Mum has taken delivery of a new 05 plate Megane DCI 100 and it's done about 600 miles so far. Today, she was driving along (not long after filling up with diesel) when the engine started to stutter and struggle, and the 'SERV' and 'Check Injection' lights came on. She got it home, but we're wondering what it means. Could the fuel be contaminated perhaps? It was ESSO so it's doubtful, but if any mechanics can offer advice that would be great.
