Serious Question .

What are the reasons for buying 10 year old Ferrari's (for example) in LHD ?

Is Price the Main Factor ?

Having Noticed many LHD Drives in West Sussex Recently and wondered what the benefits are of LHD ?

I Guess Cost is the Main Reason in the UK unless Delivery times are an Issue for New Models and the customers are wanting faster delivery times (maybe) ?

Some people are on the line of thinking that as Ferrari is a low volume manufacture the car is meant to be LHD, and hence RHD cars are converted and not as good. Things like balance of the car (where the driver was meant to be located), master brake cylinder etc. etc.

I read an article which said the LHD 430s sound far superior to the RHD cars - can't remember why tho'

In the case of the Murcielago, a couple of my friends have chosen LHD over RHD as they feel the RHD cars feel very much like a converted car

I don't mind LHD cars, except for getting into and out of carparks

And the pedals are FAAAR better positioned. In RHD it is a hell of an offset.

I do most of my Ferrari milage on the continent so LHD would be good for me. The problem is resale value if you have a UK registered car.

The lead in times are a lot less. An Italian dealer quoted me 2 years for a 430 Spider which is now being quoted at 5 years by Lancasters.

Scuderia Systems boys firmly believe LHD Fezzas are better built and more cohesive driving machines.
