Was everyone on the South coast asleep early and so missed the gathering of 25+ Ferrari's at Shoreham airport on Friday night?

Sussex Ferrari Owners Club hired the runway for the evening and ran unrestricted along it. There was some serious hardware there, amongst which was an F50, 2x F40's, a spanking new 430 Spider, a 360 Stradale, a 360 Spider, several 355 Spiders, 355's, 348's, 328's, 308's and a 308 GT4.

Being the startline marshall I was best placed to watch the action. The F50 and F40's were amazing to listen to - popping & spitting under deceleration! The 360 Stradale was awesome to see/hear but the award for the guy trying the hardest was a bloke called Mark in his 360 Spider - and not least because of the 135mph sprint with the roof off that saw me as his passenger. Quite an achievement when the runway was as short as it is! Top man

You'd be right about that!
Everyone kept it on the blackstuff too; one or two late braker's though...

None are planned. Most folk decided that it was over all too quickly, given the runway is not the longest one around. I think it very likely to be repeated, perhaps just not at Shoreham.

Edited to say that if you are local to Shoreham, you can't be far from where Sussex Ferrari have their monthly meeting. If you fancy coming along to the next one in the 3200, you'd be very welcome. It's on 3rd August - drop me a line through my profile and I'll tell you where & when, if you are interested...
