For someone who's daily driver is a 996 targa, how different would they find the experience of an F430? Would the ride be a lot harder, is it more difficult in traffic, and so on? Thanks.

Edit to say this person is 60 and is not after a track oriented monster, just something "that goes fairly well" () when needed...

Better off in a 550 / 575 or 612 IMO.

They are a bit softer around the edges and more relaxing / comfortable when you just want to waft but still complete hooligans when you want them to be.

The V8's generally need to be revved to get the most out of them whereas with the V12's you can just use the huge tourque.

Plus the V12's are a bit more practical and sound absolutely with some help from a Tubi)

Best to drive both types and see which one he prefers.

Thanks for the info, he'll have to try both as you suggest. Have a feeling he'll end up in a 997 though...
