I might be able to offer some answers:

Personally, I moved mainly because the grass will always seem greener somewhere else, and I wanted to try a porsche. I had a fantastic time in the Noble, but wanted to try something a bit different and without a forced induction engine. Now the GT3 seemed to me to have the finest current NA engine out there, or one of them (CSL owners!).
I to my shame wanted ABS after a couple of hairy moments and becasue my girlfriend drives the car and almost crashed on the autoroute in an emergency stop situation where one wheel had locked up.
Also I didn't like the exposed cage two inches from my right temple, its fine if you've got a helmet, but I could just imagine smashing my brains to jelly on it from even a small side impact.

In short the noble (3R) has surprsingly few weak points. The engine is fantastic and though it may be a ford (taurus) derived engine that makes for better reliability. The only thing which went wrong in 12000m and 18months was a turbo hose working loose and developing a small leak. The performance (when the turbo was blowing) was staggering and the handling better even than the GT3 (IMHO) though only slightly. Practicality is not its forte, but I had another car at the time.

Hope that helps!

Hmm, on honeymoon at the moment so I'll keep this brief. In terms of driving, theres very little wrong with the noble. It is without a doubt fantastic.

Its weaknesses are more related to the lack of thousands of hours development to iron out any wrinkles. I'm probably being naive, but with a Porsche I'm hoping for a car that just works 100% of the time and doesn't need this or that tightened up regularly etc. Also the interior was always disappointing for me on the Noble.

Having said that, I'm having trouble finding a Porsche that can perfectly fill its shoes. The GT2 has the pace, but will bite you, the GT3 the inverse.

hohum.

I{d write more, but the wife won't wait!

Dan
