Give Prestige Car Audio a call and ask for Chris. He's a top bloke and will always have a solution.

I'm 99.9% you can get an adaptor for the IPOD. Only known issues with some stereo's is you loose the use of the CD changer which shouldn't be a problem if you've got 10,000 tracks on your IPOD.

Guys

I travelled to Spa in a GT3 with an iPod and and iTrip - which attaches to the iPod and transmits to the ICE.

Awesome!

And it works really well - you control which frequency to tune into.

Only downside with the iTrip is that it needs power and goes through batteries at a rate of knots apparently?

Buy the one that plugs into the cigarette lighter, charges & plays. Does the job !

I ran an IPod/ITrip combo for a while in my GTV, but found the quality rather variable and ending up selling it (the ITrip attachment that is, not the IPod!).

The head unit however was poor, so perhaps decent ICE - or more specifically a decent radio - makes a difference.

Lasted from Richmond to Spa - around the track all day - and back home - no problems!

I fitted a Dension iPod cradle in the centre arm rest box of my 3200. I was told that the Dension only worked with head units that had a connection from a blaupunkt/becker cd auto changer. Not sure if the 4200 factory audio unit will have the same connection as a standard becker head unit. I used Oxford Car Audio (01865 761668) for the fitting because they are a Dension agent.

Cheers Kam!!

I will check for you on Monday but I am pretty sure that the Dension ICE>Link will not work with the latest Maserati information centre head unit.

This link specifically answers the question.

(maseratiforum btw is predominantly 4200 owners, I found this out when posting a few months back)
