Good luck craig with the sale - it's a fantastic car that one and we'll miss seeing it's distinctive lights leading the processions at VMAX.....

judging by this on his advert:
"Will consider part ex for RS4/RS6 or other fast estate."

I'd say he has a family coming, or has just taken up a sport which requires the carting around of lots of kit!

hi chaps, combo of things really.

Ken charging me 8 quid a day has been enough for me to stop driving every day. I just bought a ducati 749 to commute on and will be using the maser less & less.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it & am having a huge quandry & am sure I will regret it in many ways...but...

am doing some property stuff & will have a few months off later in the year & possibly be out of the country, also we have a 3 year old and need a bigger car.

So, having a toss up between an RS4 and RS6 as I want an estate (unless you chaps can think of anything else)

The RS6 will basically cost me 7K more as a part ex than the RS4 & I cant decide if the extra space & tiptronic is worth is, the RS4 always looks a bit more squat & sporty to me but I love the RS6 too. arrrrggghh.

Depends what property stuff, but you'll find that even a big estate is never big enough and you don't really want to load it up with old house cr4p now do you?

I'd get an RS4 and a van for a few hundred.

An extended test drive over a Vmax weekend is really the only way to be absolutely sure.

The 6 is easier to use as and everyday car, but next to the RS4 it's very numb. Go and have a chat with the guys on rs246.com

Isn't the RS4 manual, and the 6 tip only? Should help focus the decision if its true.

correct, thats only making my decision more difficult.

-looks, I actually prefer the RS4, interior the RS6

-performance, in real world driving not a million miles apart

-space, clearly much more in RS6

-transmission - would be nice to have the tip for the auto convenience however, maybe fun to have a manual for a while.

-sound, RS6 everytime.

decisions decisions.

Ahhh craig - I ahve the answer.

Buy the 4, then use the money youve saved from buying the 6 to do some serious AMD power upgrades
