Does anyone have any information regarding numbers of cars that were officially exported to the UK between 1992 and 1994.

Are the cars very sort after, do they sell easily? Any information from owners and/or enthusiasts would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Never many for sale at once, not that many out there, well regarded as a collectors car and seem to get picked up pretty quickly if they're good ones. I was tracking these for a while this year as a possible replacement for the Masser. Typical prices seem around 50k-60k depending on age mileage colour etc...

According to my old Maranello Sales guide, 2280 were produced with 50 (38 ABS) of them in RHD coming to the UK.

I have no idea what the market in them is like- it's pretty specialist.

Buy one!! One of the best cars I have ever had....there is good demand in the trade and privatly for nice cars........the ones that hang around are usually not too good or over priced.................try and buy one that just been belt changed if you can, its not a cheap job...the M512TR is the rarest IIRC, but not everyone likes the styling.

I'm really tempted, but a little put off by the fact that Martin Ingham's had a 19k example for £52 and it's been there for ages. I would've thought they'd get snapped up quickly.

There's only one other that I know of at Verdi and they seem to prop each other up. Although they haven't sold... That is some car for 40 grand. Do you see a few of them?

No, dreadful cars, you don't want to go near one... get a series 1 or a 512M, just stay clear of the TRs.

And, er, if you find any really nice 512TRs be sure to let me know so I can warn others... just so long as we, er you find one after I have sold the Spider... what? er, no, no reason!

Thanks for the advice, I'll stay well clear of the old shaggers.

i like, looks nice but it would be embarrased by both my road weapons, not bragging (not my style) but anything 0-60 over the std 4.6 secs of my slowest weapon would be left wanting more.

why dont you drop the supercar thing and go for a Atom ?

my mate Nick has a turbo charged honda engined thing (not too hot on the Ariel rage TBH) and it eats my ducati with ease.

at the end of the day, youll only use it when its dry (italian metal just cant handle UK weather trust me Ive owned enough of it!) so why piss about?

Ive always wanted to own a Ferrari, until I visited their factory last year, along with the Lambo and ducati factories (pics availible, dont email its a spoof address), after that, I want a galliardo, and ill have one some day.

Im hearing very good things from owners since Audi took over, the new factory is clinically spottless, I nearly got deported for taking photos inside! One of my customers has 4 lambos and sold one of his 2 diablo GTRC full race spec cars for this and says its amazing (hes from tiawan, dont normally get this enthiusiastic about cars) he has a countach and the first of the lambo cars ever made also (not sure of the model though) for the record.

have fun

you have got to be having a laugh.

A Porker with Gerbil (whatever) suspension won't look at a 512. It won't even look at a 355.....

Its academic but 996 will not do 60 in 4.6. Also a bike won't touch a Fezza on the twisties GSX-R thou or not. And before you tell me thats Bo**ox I used to race bikes and regularly race em in my car. I know.

If they are that crap, why have you always wanted one? And why are you lurking around a Ferrari section? I'd have thought a white Testarossa a la Miami Vice circa 1980's would have been the ideal "weapon" to go with that tie dude!!!!!!!

Mmmmm...

Nice shoes too

Seriously, 4.6 versus 4.7 or .8 whatever it is... forget the 0-60 mate, when you're doing 140 and the 512TR decides to stop p!ssing about it'll be like you've just missed a gear, trust me. Those flat 12s are like turbines, the power is overwhelming... oh, and from such a big elegant normally aspirated battleship bruiser of a car too

A Lambo, if you want sheer brutal presence, great, the Ferrari's have always been about finesse over brute force. Both great cars, but better or worse? purely subjective taste.

Was going to comment on the tie in his profile as well, but since I have a Saab & he has a 911, he's obviously doing something better than me (& I dont mean his fashion sense either).
