Fuel tank leak

The smell of petrol in my boot suggested it was time to replace all the rear flexi pipes. I could not find any pipework problems so I looked deeper. I decided to take the tank out to examine it. Oddly my tank is steel and has an outlet on the bottom via a banjo Union. Anyway, tank out, carpet cover ripped off and leak found. I have seen several examples of steel tank repairs using tin plate soldered over the hole. I guess that's the way to go, de-fuming an absolute essential before I take a blowtorch to it

I've used JB Weld on an ali tank if that's any help. Might not be kosher but it worked as it's petrol resistant.
