Le Mans '03 - Houx Annexe
Discussion
Just heard from Carol at the Club Office that we were too late to get into Houx and have therefor chosen to go into Houx Annexe.
Anyone tell anyting about it (Le Mans virgin). I was told by a number of people that Maison Blanche was a complete no no so that was the only option really...
All help gratefully recieved.
Cheers

Houx Annex isn't too bad, it's just not numbered plots so 1st come 1st served, not as many ammenities as Houx, a few stand pipes and no electricity, and don't camp right next to the toilet block, it may seem a good idea on Thursday, but when they flood on Saturday night it's not the place to be!

Cant beleive it myself sent mine of To the TVR CC as soon as got sprint and still didnt get in Houx and have been allocated tickets in Houx Annexe. my entry no was 68 so there must of been a few large groups in front of me.
Carol told me they had 500 tickets/allocations and all had nearly gone.
I have only ever camped in Houx and in parking Blue a few times so dont know about Houx annexe, as they are only £20 a plot cant be up to much, but then u can wonder into houx to use there showers/toilets.
AS for masin blanche i dont know either.
I am a bit pissed of actually and i am sure plenty more wil be.I mean eight months before the event and u cant get in the spot u want. What s it gonna be like when HOux does eventually shut??
Suppose gotta keep me chin up at least there will be a few other PH's in there too
BB
Edited to say suppose it cant be as bad as parking blue

Had the same thing and wnet for the Annexe - must say that when I spoke to Carol at TVRCC she was very helpful cos we haven't been to Le Mans for a few years so I needed a quick reminder on what site was which.
Reckon there needs to be a bit of 'Pistonheads' pre Le Mans co-ordination to ensure that an early scouting part gets to the Annexe and ropes of a big TVRCC/Pistonheads area.
Anyone look at the www.beermountain.com website?

That sounds like a fantastic idea !! When are people intending on going ? Thursday ? Which ferries etc
We were thinking of using the chunnel...
I've camped on Maison Blanche a few times -
the bad news is that the bogs & showers are pretty
bad.. but the good news is that it is nicely located
right next to the track. So only takes - max 2 mins to watch the racing (can be a bit loud on race night).
It's more or less at the beginning of the pit straight
- so is very handy - not too much walking for any thing.
Another good thing is that it is opposite maison Blue
and there is a drag race that takes place after the main race finishes. Sadly I've usually drunk too much champagne & beer to race myself.....!!!
I'm also hoping for a maison blanche ticket... don't
know what TVR I will have yet....
