my dad took me to Logik TVR (the only scottish dealer) today. Made dad park next to mint green Griffith! Enjoyed looking at them alot!

then my dad asked John LaPorte if I could be driven in a Tuscan. John said OK and 5 minutes later a yellow Tuscan S parked outside the door! My jaw dropped and i started sweating (im only 17 remember!).

I turned round to John and said in a shaky voice "is that the one", he smiled and said yes. I was so lucky to get the Tuscan S!

I get in and a young guy says hi. im shaking as hell. The whole car is shaking and im shivering of excitement in my Nigeria football shirt! he sets of at about 10mph, then turns onto the slip road for the motorway. thats when it happens.... : he puts his foot down and the engine suddenly goes "GRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOwwwWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL" for first gear, then all over again for second, third and fourth!!!! Im literally pushed back into the seat! The engine noise is the best ever, and i mean the best ever. my uncle drove a Z8 (nice noise BMW), but this rocks the house. the whole car is shaking all the way through! in the first 30 seconds the only word that was audible was " F*CK!!!!!" :-) . anyway, i tell the guy that he doesnt have to impress me, he laughs and says hes just drivign normally! He was the nicest guy. the car literally takes off when you put your foot down! its so damn amazing!!!! we went past this old guy who was probably deaf, but the speed six noise was so cool he looked up too!

the whole thing lasted about 12 minutes, then my 15 year old bro, then my dad all got a ride with the nice driver. brother soiled his pants and dad had an ear-to-ear grin for the whole afternoon cos he loved it!!! Overall , id give it 11 out of 10. the tuscan is THE sports car thats kicks buttocks. its amazing how flipping fast it is! I love the Tuscan, and im only 17!

John LaPorte was really nice and friendly! If your gonna buy a TVR, hes the man to get it from. you guys are so lucky.

the tuscan will be the object of my conversation for about 5 years now until i can get one hopefully! i love it love it love it!!!!!

Sounds like you got driven by Paul. He's a pretty good passenger too - if he's happy with your driving, he doesn't mind you exploring the performance & handling envelope
This is good, otherwise I would never have found out what a good car the Tamora is to drive, as you really have to wring its neck to get the full performance from it

Glad you enjoyed the Tuscan test drive.
Frankly, as a Chim driver, I was not impressed - the Tuscan drives like a hotrod rather than a car.
It's rattly and I hated the interior - the dashboard looks like it's come out of a van, with the radio stuck on it as an afterthought, and the console is crap - having to scroll around for the display you want when you should be concentrating on the road is bloody stupid.
And that engine just doesn't sound as gorgeous as a V8.
... or am I just being picky?

Well, horses for courses but eeven a Ferrari 355 rattles. The exhaust note is not V8 but sounds bloody good and as for the van jibe? At least front pillar doesn't look like it's from a 60's MG.

Sorry one putdown for another.

I found the Tuscan to drive excellently (mind you I like hotrods ) It doesn't have the same low down torque of my Chimaera, but once it winds up, it really flies. I've been in a few Tuscans, and the only one that rattled is one that had bent front wheels...

Glad to see the enthusiasm is still out there for our great marque!

The kids of tomorrow need to be educated about the finer things in life . . . before they go down off the rails (and get Beemers!)

:-) I reckon that with some of the dodgy publicity TVR gets, its a good idea for me to write a letter to TVR in Blackpool, telling them that the dealer (Logik TVR) was really top notch and helpful. I'll also say that the TuscanS kicks serious buttocks!

Glad you loved it Kebaboy,
I'll be right up your street in just over a weeks time so I'll give you a blast of the horn before I join the M8 for Edinburgh,I've got a weekend to myself and I'm giving the car a decent workout, Plymouth-Blackpool-Ayrshire-Fife then return, in all in a 4 day period. I,ve had an S3, Griff500 and now the Tuscan, each and every one was loved and is unique in it's own right, "but they get better all the time" for the past 2 weeks I've been testing a new company car for myself a Golf V6, Beamer 330 Coupe, and a S Type Jag sport, the're all good, but nothing give you the feeling of the TVR Marque. I know the fun factor has a lot to do with it, but nothing else exites me enough to get interested in what I'm testing.
Anyway can't wait till next week.

Best Regards.
