Wow just found out that Chris is in the middle of a battle with the big C, awful news.

Horrible, hope he regains full health.

Whichever journo forced him to go public (if indeed that’s what forced it) should be publicly named and never work in media again. Ditto for any editor supporting the behaviour. Low lives.

Absolutely this. I assume somebody spotted him leaving Christies (guess - he's Manchester based) and he was left with no choice than to make a statement. Absolutely abhorrent behaviour.

Totally agree, it's his choice and he should have been free to make it. I hope someone digs out who this journalist and rag or media outlet is and it backfires on them

Wishing the very best to Sir Chris, seems a top bloke..

Real st trick by the journo, scum of the earth.

Sir Chris is such a decent guy, he comes into my LBS/coffee shop quite a bit, and did likewise with another similar one nearby that closed last year. Always happy to chat, down to earth, very genuine.

Last time we saw him, late autumn-time I'm guessing, he mentioned he was 'getting over something' - we naively assumed covid or a cold.
