This could run for a long time, as it is similar to the Cornwall/Devon Scone Jam /cream debate

Both sinks in the toilet and bathroom are of the single tap design

In this position of the tap with the H opposite the outlet, it supplies cold water

When rotated so the C is opposite the outlet i get Hot water

The question is

Should the H + C indicate what temp is when opposite the outlet

OR

Do they indicate which direction you should turn the tap to get H or C?

LOL isnt this one of those situations where you ask 50 people and you will get 25 say one way 25 say the other?
Have a similar situation, but blue and red, it bugs me, every time I use it its "wrong," but the other way would be as wrong!

Generally speaking the right hand tap is (as I understand it) meant to be cold, so pushing the lever to the right should have the same effect. I think this is to standardise it for the visually impaired but our house is a mix due to its age.

Couple of things

No pun intended on using the word 'run'

Also in the pic shown i am getting cold water, so the plumbing inlets should be switched to show C level with the outlet?

On the bath dual tap , the hot is on the let, ( as looking from inside the bath, and Cold is on the right)

Push lever in the direction of the C for cold and push towards H for hot.
Standard way round (in UK a least) hot on the left.

No - you've pushed it to the right and you're getting cold water. That is what you want.

Its exactly how it should be. In the UK hot is always on the left.
