We are buying a home with my son and his wife. Initially 50:50 (25:25:25:25) but this may change in the future.
We need to be owners for the obvious reason -marriage breakdown (plan for the worst). Shared tenancy means there is no asset for my wife and I to leave to our daughter should we die.
How easy is it to change the share held by the parties in future as my son is likely to be funding an extension in a year or so and when my parents pass away anything left to us would allow us to change the shares.
