I had a couple of very lightly buckled wheels straightened a year or so ago. I’ve noticed the resonance that first alerted me to them being out has started to come back on occasions.

I’ve not hit any major potholes etc.

Is it possible that the wheels might have begun to bend out of shape again after the repair due to some metallurgical phenomenon?

More likely uneven tyre wear unless there has been an event of sufficient size to bend again.

They won't re-bend unless the same has happened again I wouldn't think.

Chap i know has had multiple 19" soft as cheese OE wheels straightened due to the typical pot holed third world road surfaces, only for the next missed pot hole in the dark to do the same again.
He gave up in the end and went down one size to 18s, so far so good.

Cheers… will see how it goes and maybe have the rear balance checked as a starting point. Wish there was someone local with a Hunter Road Force.
