GT4 - Replacing the front splitter

Has anyone replaced the front splitter on their GT4 yet?
I've had my GT4 for just over a year and the splitter is looking a bit worse for wear so thought I'd replace it. The part itself is circa £230 which I'm fine with and I thought I'd get the old one refurbed so that I have a spare but I've been quoted £360 for fitment by Porsche which sounds ludicrous.
I'm pretty sure the middle section just bolts on and off. I found this video of a guy changing it on his Spyder and can only assume it's the same for the GT4.

Funnily enough I was over at Porsche Cambridge yesterday looking at a GT4 and it too was a bit worse for wear . Running a 4.0 GTS I hadn't realised just how vulnerable these front lips are on the GT4 . The rear also had a few marks as if it had come into contact with a raised kerb whilst reversing . all said and done at 15,000 miles the overall condition of the GT 4 was exceptional

I’ve heard mixed things about the front bumper having to be removed, hence why I’m curious whether anyone here has changed theirs.Edited by Pope on Sunday 21st April 19:57
I’ve also heard that when GT4’s are delivered to garages in the UK, the front splitter isn’t attached and it’s bolted on at the garage.
Considering it’s a perishable part which isn’t overly expensive, it would be a surprise if the bumper needs to be removed.
I’m hoping it’s as easy as it is in the video I posted.

IME unlikely to be a kerb. The rear fins are just as vulnerable on an enthusiastic drive as the front splitter is to a speed bump. Edited by reddiesel on Sunday 21st April 21:35

Agree with this, looked like in the video that the guy basically removed the screws and ripped it out by the sounds it made, very risky in my view!Edited by Pope on Sunday 21st April 19:57
Bumper removal is simple, inner splash guards, front under tray front bolts and then a few other bolts under trim and a couple of clips by the lights an it’s off!
With a ramp half an hour easy.
Buy the new part and you will see much more clearly how it clips in.
As suggested, the tricky part about getting it off quickly is to do it without ANY damage to the section it clips into. Perfectly DIYable the quick way but a dealer is always going to do it the long way to eliminate any risks.
Not sure how you would get the old one refurbed but they are designed to effectively be a sacrificial component and as you said are not (too) stupidly priced so probably not worth the effort/cost to repair.

Getting Ninemeister in Warrington to replace the part for me. Fitment is £98 +VAT which I'm happy with.
Went and saw them yesterday and they said it's a simple enough job that they often do during track days.
They also said it may not be worth refurbing the part and I'm probably better off selling it on eBay to guys who track their cars.
