I need to find out what is going on with my S2000 ABS. As anyone who has used a non Honda specific scanner will attest, you can't pull ABS DTCs.

However, I see a lot of US forums instruct bridging pins 4&9 on the obd connector and counting the ABS light flashes to reveal the DTC.

Has anyone here successfully used that feature on a UK market Honda?

Not on newer Gen stuff, I used to use the jumper trick on my pre-2000 stuff.

A cheap OBD reader seems a better and safer option!

Problem is, an OBD reader doesn't pull ABS related codes unless it's specifically for Honda AND has that functionality. I'd rather avoid having yet another marque specific scanner if the bridging works hehe

donkmeister - are you in Surrey / SW London area? I know a good indy Honda mechanic with Honda diagnostics.

I'm Beds/Cambs border but thank you!

It got through the MOT (no ABS light arose, phew!) so I'll get shopping for a Foxwell or similar.
