Ultimate scale model?

I remember as an apprentice at a sports car company I was stationed in the stores as part of my rotation around the company. One of our roles was to take the clay models (and other stuff like crash test cars) to a secure storage place, which was on a farm.
We unloaded a full size clay of a new model and as we stood in the yard of the farm waiting to be told where to put it, the farm owners Jack Russell came over and took an almighty chunk out of the sill. No idea why, it just bit and pulled the whole sill section off. It was covered in some kind of film so a load more came away than Fido's mouth could hold.
We chased the dog across a field trying to retrieve it but he thought it was way more fun than we did, so we gave up.
Pushed the car into the warehouse with that side against the wall and never mentioned it to anyone
