I thought I would start this thread, because up until yesterday, all my comments on supermarket curries were confined to the Aldi Jalfrezi curry, which is IMHO is very good.
Yesterday, I had the M&S Fiery Hot Chicken Tikka Masala and it now resides in my number one spot. It has Naga chillies and is very fragrant, the chicken is of a superb standard and it is hot. It was £5.50, which may seem expensive to some, but I think it was worth it.

Waitrose do a good jalfreze in my view . My wife had a pasanda and said it was very good . We then did it again about 3 weeks later and mine was really disappointing. So I think inconsistent.

My latest fav is Tesco's Ruby Chicken curry. The sauce is just right.

It's in their posh microwave range along with other Indian, Thai, Chinese and Italian dishes.

2 for £7.50.

Waitrose are generally our go-to for Curry, decent range overall. Mrs H tends towards the mild and I am at the opposite end of the scale but we both do ok.

Nans are good as well although a lot smaller than they used to be irked.

The Aldi ones are very good. The king prawn bhuna is excellent.
I like the sound of that M&S one. I'll swerve by later.

The Aldi King Prawn Bhuna is good however Mrs Loto and I shared on last week and it had a total of.....4 prawns in it!! (possibly an outlier but very poor form)

I prefer their Butter Chicken which is currently my favourite supermarket curry, plenty of nice tender chicken in it, as good as anything you would buy in an Indian restaurant IME. However they are not really sufficient for 2 persons but do make a generous portion for 1

Waitrose Indian Snack Selection is delicious. £4.

You get 4 chicken pakoras, 4 potato bondas, 4 sweet potato bhajis. The bondas always go first.

Best Supermarket Naan breads I have found are these.

They are proper size and tasty. Availabld in Most ssupermarkets from what I can find.
You will find them in the bread isle rather than with the rest of the jar(sharwoods etc) curries.

Is the M&S one labeled as Fiery Hot, or is that your description biggrin

Just that I've just popped in and under the £5.50 shelf it's just Chicken Tikka Masala.

Bloody Pistonheads and other motoring forums have convinced me to buy a Boxster, a Discovery 3, various tech, a Brompton and now a £5.50 microwave curry from M&S, which I don't tend to visit.

Have to say that it's a much calmer shopping experience and the customers are not Chavvy unlike my usual Tesco smile

I've tried Tesco, Co op, M&S and Waitrose. I won't eat any again other than Waitrose.

I bought a Co-op Korma recently for some reason i cant quite remember. It's not often i just throw a whole meal away!

Sainsburys Tikka and Butter chicken are decent enough but i don't really rate the TTD versions. I always do my own rice and raita but partial to a peshwari nan which JS seems to have discontinued

Did you look at the video? They do two, one is the standard one which you have purchased and the other is clearly labelled "Fiery Hot".
