Both my e46s now need some attention. I had a quote from Redish but its more than i can afford. Is it realistic to expect a decent resto job that will give me a 5-10 more years of motoring without stuff falling off for 3-5k? id want the subframe dropped and small stuff replaced and the body surfaces to be prepped and finished etc rather than just blastic the underside with some sticky gooey wax stuff

im thinking about places in the north ie yorks vs south east and whether it makes sense to get it done where labour rates are cheaper

anyone with direct experience?

Have you tried WeldTech in Bristol?

I haven't personally used them but I have been following their socials for a while now and the quality of work looks very good.

Take a look at a thread on M3cutters before contacting weld tech.
I had my e46M3 boot floor reinforced at Everything M3 3 years ago and that was £2k, that did include repairs to other bits and pieces while there.

Depends how long you want the car to last I suppose.

Short of buying a brand new shell from BMW and re-protecting it to current standards, Redish's process is about as good as it gets in this country - for a price!
