Geodesy to become standard on TVRs?
Discussion
I've just read an article in Autocar to that effect - after Xmas, all TVRs will be fitted with a Geodesy. Is this a joke, or what? Any mention of it to you guys buying T350's?
Certainly wasn't told that....good idea though keeps traffic of your back but still doesn't deal with hand-held laser devices unless it's the dual-system Radar/GPS Geodesy and only if that has a laser detection capability.

Sorry, just being cynical...
I can't conceive how the law could be framed. How do you ban a device that tells you where you are? It's like banning you from telling your mates where a new camera is or satnav systems informing you of the location of the nearest hospital. The location software could easily be incorporated into any satnav and the database updated regularly. I just can't see anti-speeders being able to block this one at all.
I was going to rip out the whole dash on the Griffith and build a Cerbera style replacement with driver data directly ahead and ECM (electonic counter measures) contained in the centre part of the console. These would have included a radar detector and GPS camera location system along with a couple of my more radical ideas.
Great move by PW.
Yup...connected to the change up lights...

I've been wanting to implement this for ages, but have absolutely no electrical knowledge whatsoever. It can't be that difficult can it? I'm not trying first though.
I looked at the RoadPilot at the show too (for those who haven't seen it, check out the Morpheous site). It really is an excellent 'Boys Toy' and is incredibly capable as a GPS based camera detector, but I just thought it looked, well, just a little naff ... A 3.5 inch square LCD screen on the end of a flexible hose and a suction cup? Straight from the readers cars section of Max Power I think.
However, can't let vanity get in the way of my inherent desire to buy electronic gadgets, so, well, I'm ordering one anyway!
