Just changed from a 1999 C2 to this.....wow what a difference!!!! Oh Happy days.

Very Nice car looks like the 325bhp model,have you found much difference perfomance wise compared to the facelift C2?On paper there is only 5 bhp.

Yes it is the 325hp model, it is still running in so no real comparisson on the performance, although it does feel much more sharp and responsive on the take up. The biggest difference I feel immediately is the steering and the suspension, much more positive and no skipping around at the front end.

Yes,much the same set up as my 987 and i cant wait to get back to that,fingers crossed i'll be in a black s early next year,it has to be the s for me really because i want the pasm the bigger wheels and of course the extra 40bh.My 987 felt dog slow until i had done a 1000 miles or so and as i've found with all my porsches,the more miles you do the quicker they get.Im sure your car will be faster than the spec sheet sugests with a few more miles.Lovely car you have,enjoy it!

Congratulations....looks fantastic. Want to do the same myself but cannot shift my 99 C4! Did you part/ex through an OPC? How did they treat you on the trade in? What's the spec? Enjoy it!!!

Hi Dozer996,
I traded it with the same specialist dealer I bought the 996 from. In fact I went to the dealer with a small oil leak on the 996 with no intention of changing the car, a few hours later and a lot of hot air and we were shaking hands!!!
He had the 997 already in stock, like I mentioned the spec was a little higher than I would have normally ordered, but I am an impulse buyer and it was there ready to be delivered in a couple of days.
I am OK with the deal, in fact quite enjoyed the haggling and the many cups of coffee. I actually built the spec on the Porsche website as near as possible so I had a good guideline as to the value.
The spec is:
997 carrera tiptronic S
Artic silver
Satnav
Telephone module
Sports crono package
Sports seats
6 Cd
rear wiper
multi function sterring wheel
And a few others like leather roof lining, coloured wheel centres, reverse sensors

I never expected to have it so soon but now I intend to enjoy it.
