Mileage contribution to value of 993TTs.
Discussion
I think there is a bit of stigma associated with higher mileage 993tt's (not that there are that many out there!).
So if you are only planning on keeping the car a year or two and doing 10k miles a year this could be something to bear in mind - they seem to take a hit at about 50/60k.
Personally though i'd want to stay away from ultra low mileage. I've always found the 993 likes to be used (n/a or tt) and a 20k mile 8 year old car could be troublesome.
My car's done 68k miles now and is utterly wonderful.
Then again, in Henry's absence, i'll say it now: ignore the mileage, buy on CONDITION.
VS
edit: i reckon a pristine 40k car could sell for the same as a reasonable 20k car - the car's worth what someone will pay for it...

I guess on a lower mileage car you feel more comfortable piling on the miles (as I seem to be on my 993tt) but clearly the most important aspect is condition.A 60k mile car that has been lovingly cared for is far preferable to a 30k mile car that has had the sh*t thrashed out of it.Either way go for it.
Interesting - thanks for the opinions. I'm taking my search real slow now and taking my time - I know I definitely don't want a 996tt and have settled for sure on a 993tt. Age and well-worn engineering discussions aside, it's the looks that close it for me... Now to just throw aside my low-mileage desires and go on condition! Easier said than done...;-)
