John Yates I thaught I had heared that name before, and the relationship with woodseats. I was talking to my girlfriend (Tessa), low and behold you work with her.
I remember talking to her about this TVR I was looking at and she mentioned that she knew someone who had one. It was you, well hello 2 you. Say hi to her when you see her, Oh and keep the kitchen floor dry after all we wouldn't want anyone having to goto hostpital after falling over and injuring them selfs would we. LOL!!

How is Tessa after that fall? She was off to hospital last time i saw her. Yes working in the Kitchens is great fun but my main job is graphic design. Logos and stuff. So you maybe thinking of buying a Chimaera hey? May i recomend James Agger as a sales guy, he is very enthusiastic unlike some miserable g*** i have come across. I bought mine off him and its been great. I cant stress enough how important it is to have a Super Sports Exhaust fitted. It has given Chimaera a new lease of life. After a Cerbera 4.5 next i think. Cheers Oh and when you do get one. Its a run out to Bakewell or somewhere in the Derbyshire Peak District. Anybody Else from around S.Yorks, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Bakewell area?

Tessa is getting better, got a blueish hand from the bruising but I think its her legs and back that hurt the most, she'll be ok.

Im about 90% on getting a Chimera, probably a midas yellow or the blue looks nice aswell. The problem is that it will be a christmas or birthday(march) pressie to myself which is a bit bad for the old road conditions.

How do you find the speed bumps in sheffield? are there any realy bad roads (road condition included) where maybe youve uttered a few heated words as you hear the bottom of your lovely car being torn and bent to hell?

Also how is euro driving in a chim? I fancy taking it down south Italy next year (1900 miles) to visit my family. Will it be ok or will I have to be airlifted to a hostpital after being rattled and shaken into a gooey mess in the footwell?

I curse everytime i see a speed bump coming. Usualy oh! f***. Every time i am going over it and especially when my beloved Super Sports Exhaust catches it. I feel like coming back with a neumatic drill! I try and make a three mile detour around the millhouses, woodseats area now and stick to the main roads. Driving your Chimaera through Europe you will love. I drove from Calais to Le Mans and it is a great adventure. Loads of other Car Clubs, Sports cars and classics headed to the exact same place you are. If you do drive to Italy make sure you can get road side assistance in each country and plenty of water, oil and steering fluid and you'll be The French and Italian roads are superb. The hard ride i enjoy, makes me feel like i realy am a part of the car. and does anybody find it hard not to hum to the revs?

One thing i can say is why the @#*! do they put speed bumps in on a 30 mile an hour road which slow you down to 2 miles an hour? if they want to slow you down change the speed limit to 10 or something (true not everyone will adhear to it but then some people with the right width of car even a mondeo can just drive over the bumps anyhow). Or just make the bumps not effect the car until 30 miles an hour, you can do it with the spacing of them anything over 30 will rock you to death etc.

But to my main question. As a TVR is 100% street legal and is of a perfectly acceptable ride height, if your driving over a speed bump lets say at 3 miles an hour and you catch it and it rips of your exhaust system totaly. what do you do? can you take the counsil to court or do you just have to live with it?

Hi guys - I was born and brought up in Nether Edge, spent some time in Millhouses, and am now in Chesterfield.

I know what you mean about speed bumps, especially the ones between woodseats and ecclesall road south.

You'll find there are quite a few local Tiv owners who are active on PH.com
We probably ought to have a meet up soon..... just need someone to organise it

I could be wrong, but i think the council have to pay? The z3 with eibach springs and splitters i had before couldn't get over a rizzla paper. Looked beastly, i will send you a photo of it. You have to get the TVR it will pleasure you in ways you never knew were possible. Make sure you join the TVR car club. You get a monthly magazine to tell you about events and stuff. Whenever you see another TVR no matter if it is the same or not will usualy have a big grin on there face, beeping there horn like a mad man and flashing his lights more than your local discotech! The squirel is right. Rubber Duck! Rubber Duck! 10:4 we need ourselves a great big convoy. (quoting a film there)

Well i know a few TVRs in the hood who might come on a cruise out one Sunday. It would be great to have a regular TVR meeting around these parts. I think there may be one in Chesterfield but i couldn't be sure. What would be perfect, having Derbyshire countryside right on Sheffields doorstep (Owl a bar roundabout area, Totley, Dronfield, Fox House, Bakewell, Chatsworth area) would be a good place for local TVR owners to meet up, have a Sunday lunch and go for a cruise after. I have been to the Cadeby Inn but that is the other side of Rotherham. Any suggestions local folk? Chimaera S3TAY

An advert in sprint might do the trick.in the regional meeting places section at the back. Somewhere like the Fox House Pub, Fox House on the border between Sheffield and Derbyshire might be a good place. Big enough car park for the motorshow. Never usualy go in there but i seem to pass it every time i go for a drive to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Matlock, Chesterfield. Suggestions are more than welcome? S3TAY

I guess the biggest problem with Fox House is the lack of space in the pub - not a problem in the summer when you can sit outside and soak up the rays....

Is there anywhere a little further out? Chatsworth anyone?

Chatsworth is a great place. No problem getting out there in the TVR. I dont think the Duke and Duchess do Sunday Lunches though Only joking anywhere around there would be fine. I only suggested Fox House area Owler Bar area as a TVR meeting venue because it is a good place for people from Sheffield South West to meet before we went out for a drive to somewhere like Chatsworth. But i am easy. I will meet up wherever anyone else wants to. S3TAY

Sorry the Chatsworth comment was tongue-in-cheek.

We need somewhere with a decent car park, that does good Sunday grub, and with plenty of room inside - preferably near a window overlooking the car park

Could do with it being hot and sunny all year round too....

Any decent places in Hathersage or Castleton? If we went to Castleton we could razz up winnets pass
