Rattling wind deflector
Discussion
Does anybody have any advice on stopping the wind deflector from rattling? I was advised by OPC to simply take the deflector off and to resite it. So I have done, but unsurprisingly it doesn't appear to have solved the problem. I'm loathed to take it back to the OPC just for this, but then again I also have a bit of a "fart" in one of the speakers, so maybe a trip to the dealers isn't too far away anyway.
Hi,
This is fairly common, and there are a number of reports of the deflector coming loose at high speed as well.
The best cure is to remove it and place about a 1" piece of double-sided foam tape to it on all three sides.
This has the effect of both adhering it and wedging it in place. It is near permanent, but may be removed if you wish with little effort and maybe some denatured alcohol.
