Now I know this might sound like sacrilege to most TVR owners, but is there a TVR out there that has bearable in-cabin noise levels at constant speed on motorways - my ex Tuscan was great fun to listen on country roads but a bit wearing after an hour at 90mph

A cerbera without a sports exhaust is bearable.....but life is too short to drive in silence....

My Chimaera (standard exhaust) is fine with the roof on - have driven it all around Britain at motorway speeds without problem. (Is a tad noisier with the roof off however )

My Cerbera seems OK to me - standard exhaust system.

Alternatively, those TVRs with optional ear plugs seem to work fine.

My wife was quite happy when I first bought the Cerbie. She said that with the roof it was "so much more like a normal car" than my old 400SE, and that "you can pretty mush hold a normal conversation without having to shout" . I promptly had a sports exhaust fitted, and haven't looked back since....haven't heard a word she's being saying since either.

Anyway, you need a sports exhaust to drown out the noise of all those car alarms....set off by your sports exhaust.....hmmmmm

Noise? What noise, I got a sports on my 4.0L Chim and it sounds MAGIC. My wife loves the sound too. Even our next-door neighbour said she likes the sound, and she's s*dding deaf!
I find it quieter that my old MX5...alright give us a break! everyone has to start somewhere.

Back to the MX5....Motor ways with the flappy hood WAS noisy. I find the motorways in the Chim with the hard top in situ, quiet by comparison.

But everyone likes TVR noise.

I'll second that, my neighbours said to me the other day, "your leaving for work a bit late aren't you?",
I said "How do you know? " and they said
"Well your car wakes us up at 7:15AM every morning !"
I sincerley apologies but the Neighbour comes out with :
"It's OK I don't mind, at least it makes a lovely sound !!"

I have had death threats. Not joking. But the same estate, several streets away, the guy likes it.
On the motorway it numbs you. And as far as I am aware, its a standard exhaust.
