Opinions please. This morning a guy in a DB7 was infront of me on my favourite bit of twisty road where i live,he was going some,i was already some way behind and my tyers were cold and it was a bit damp but i know he was watching me,but i thought best given the circumstances to leave it.How does this car handle, and is it worth locking horns?I also noticed that he lives at the end of this road and has a C4s,maybe it is'nt my turf after all?PS For the politicaly correct,no speed limits were broken as far as i was aware.................

Mmmmmm Aston Chasing.

You would probably have noticed the extra weight the DB7 carries in the corners, but on straighter sections it has got plenty of torque to 'make progress'.

I thoroughly recommend you get closer next time to have a better look.

What an excellent reply, great vid,the road is very similar, only about 2mls long with a straight in the middle. The aston looks lardy in the the tight bends so i do have the better car for this road, but this guy knows it like i do and has a c4s,so its going to be no easy ride.I like your car looks great,i could'nt have asked for more on this thread thanks very much.

I don't think that a DB7 would pose a threat to you Rob. Suspension is very soft and their cornering is boat-like. Had it been a DB9 then thats a different matter. Go forth and conquer...

That wasn't filmed on-board Adams Westie was it?

If so, I'm glad the upper steering column I sold and modified for him a few years back held up ok on all those twisties!!!...great footage, must try out my bullet-cam at some point.

Edited to say, Jeremy, just looked at your profile and realised it's prob filmed from your car!

No you were right first time.

It was filmed from Adam's Westie following me (on MegaHoon earlier this year) into Cortina D'Ampezza in the Italian Dolomites.

Having looked at the footage.....it must have been agony knowing you had the SLR at home in the garage...particularly with a westie behind you.

Now if only I can find a way of deploying the Caterham from the boot of the Aston .....
