Fully equipped with those wonderful comfort seats.... an RS for every occasion, you can even take fat birds out in it

One of the benefits of the proper RS buckets...if she mentions the seats are tight...you don't buy her dinner

(You think I'm joking?)

Seriously....buy it. A great buy that won't cost the earth to run and shouldn't lose money. Miles rarer than a 996 Turbo as well, this 993 RS is one of those cars that will make blokes come up and talk to you about it at the track or at shows. Nobody would do that if you had a 996 Turbo, they're not that special.

Is it a great buy JS? I would argue Toms would be a better purchase.

Man but if it goes bang. How long can I have the OPC warranty on a 993. Not long.

It won't go bang, it's a 993. Buy an independent warranty if your cahoons aren't big enough.

I thought they had a 10 year limit,,,so maybe warrantied until jan 2006???? Maybe wrong on that??

With 16k miles I wouldn't worry about it blowing up. I would be more worried about the timing having slipped and it's putting out 260 bhp!!!

Not for me to say on a public forum,,,but the question to ask Piers is, is it worth more than 20 grand above a decent lhd RS.
Low mileage though....

Be interesing to see how soon it gets snapped up

I think we both know the answer

I still find it hard to believe that these 10year old cars are still comanding this type of money,it really does'nt say alot about the companys current range.
I wounder if in 10 years time the 996rs will be up at 65k,i doubt it somehow.
Anyway nice car not keen on the colour, better in black.
Is anyone buying it then?

Strictly speaking NO.....the standard RS comes with a smaller rear and a less curly (?) front spoiler..The spoiler kit fitted is known as the RSR spoiler kit which was fitted to the RSR version on the continent or 7 of the genuine rhd clubsports made for the UK.
The RSR bodykit was an option on the regular RS, I am led to believe that this car was originally supplied with the standard spoilers, assuming the change used genuine Porsche parts it is not neccesarily a bad thing as the option was 3 1/2 grand when new.
