I'm glad you started this thread as I was going to start one on exactly the same topic / area. When you say it doesn't come cheap, how much are we talking ?
Paul at Miracle can remove swirl marks and scratches and relevel the paint first; he even has a paint depth gauge. There is no point putting a lovely wax on bad paint; it just magnifies the flaws. He costs 75 GBP per hour from memory. Depends how bad your car is and whether it is a smart or a RR Phantom. Usual cost is between 200-400 GBP, which may seem a lot but the Zymol lasts ages and it's cheaper than a respray

Thanks guys, I agree £200 - £400 is not cheap... are there alternatives around the £100 - £200 mark ?

another thumbs up for miracledetail.co.uk
I've been using the service for several years now and always very impressed with the results.
One of the advantages of using Paul @ Miracle is that he is completely self sufficient with both water and power not to mention the anorak level of detail he puts into his work!

It has to be Paul from Miracle Detail - top bloke and top job. There are various previous threads about the quality of work and the effort he puts in, or just go to his website to get an idea.

For between £150 and £200, Permagard (based in Docklands) do a great job. They're not SW London but I think they can travel to you. Its not a wax like Zymol but a polymer. Here's my write-up:

Errr, would you be the same person who will be carrying out the detail?
If you want to offer your services or advertise, you can mention it subtly (free) or unsubtly (pay PistonHeads). If you just put in links like this, people think it may be an independent post from someone simply spotting a bargain for them. Please post less ambiguously next time.
Cheers

you should try glyn he was the instructor for zymol and many would argue the best man for the job,and has been using the stuff for near enough 10 years. whilst he is not local i am sure he would travel and work you out a price. after watching this guy work i cannot beleive his attention to detail could be bettered.
give him a call on 07930 949821
