TVRs are in for servicing ... dry, salt-free days running out this year ... so took the Espada for a blast this afternoon.

Six carbs sucking, four tailpipes howling. Bliss.

Been out again yesterday and today. Some tw@t in a Range Rover was holding up traffic at sub-30mph for miles on a main A road this afternoon. Just what the fk is all that about??? 15 miles of it was all I could take before red mist descended and I overtook the bloody lot of them. The old girl goes like a scalded cat once she's up on her cams. She ain't no Cerbera, but WOW! what a howl!! After the precision and telepathic turn-in of TVRs, the tall tyres and soft suspension of the Espada take some getting used to but she can be hustled. The long front overhang suggests understeer because you expect the nose to move faster than it does - in fact the handling is pretty neutral, a smidge of understeer that neutralises with a little more power. Lovely old job.
