Please bear with me as I am a non technical 996 C4 (1998) owner.
Before buying a 996 i had heard of the "water mixing with oil" potential problem.
Now, whilst checking my oil level yesterday i also opened the oil filler cap and had a look in. I did notice 2 or 3 droplets of water just inside the filler nozzle. I also checked the dipstick but there was no evidence of the same. The car has been driven very little over the last 4 weeks as i have been away and it still only does around 10 miles a day at the minute.
Should I be worried, should i have it checked or is this normal - especially given the sudden change in temps this last week or so. I know there are plenty of technical minded people amongst you so any advice would be appreciated.
If this is a dumb question, then I apologise.

This sounds very serious! There's only one solution - it is urgent that you take the car out for a good, hard hoon and burn off the condensation and clear your head.
Only kidding - almost certainly just a bit of condensation if the car has been doing intermittent, short runs.As long as the level is OK on the dipstick and there is no sign of copious mayonnaise under the filler cap you're probably OK.
