Been tracking these recently and there seems to have been another significant downwards shift on key price points amongst both the OPCs and the Independents for this particular model - any ideas on what's causing this and/or views on where pricing might go in the next few months?

On a slightly separate point has anybody experienced any recent problems on using the Porsche Approved Used Car Locator? - I can't get it to load on my PC,any tech advice much appreciated!

That would be the release of the 997 C4S in October.

I'm thinking all 996's are going to take a bit of a hammering soon.

Always happens with a new model

Think you may find that the general poor spending on the high street will also have a knock on effect to the rest of peoples spending, and hence luxury items (porsches?) will take a tumble.

I thought people that were spending less on the high street were saving up their money to spend on a Porsche?

Regarding the Used Car Locator, it doesn't work for me when using Explorer but does on Safari and Netscape. You probably need more up to date browsers. (Hopefully this sounds as if i know what I'm talking about.)

They may well have, from what I read on here I think it's true. But i've only been monitoring for the last few months so can't really give that well formed view as to previous price falls.

It is fair to say though that advertised 98-99 model 996s (which I am looking at) at around the 26-28k mark offers fantastic VFM.
