If it's the same as a 964 you need a Torx set. Like a more sophisticated Allan Key.

Once you've got that it is fairly straightforward, but remember to disconnect the electrics if you have leccy seats!!

All my 993's have had allen key bolts to take the seat out.
2 at the front, 4 at the back.
Slide the seat all the way back and undo the two bolts at the front of the runners, then slide the seats all the way forward (and tilt the recliner) and undo the 4 at the back (two on each runner).

Thanks chaps - now i just need to locate the PA1000 box which seems to be hiding - Anyone know what one looks like - the one under the drivers seat doesn't quite fit the description I was given. I think I'll take the passenger seat out later to see if its lurking there

I've no idea where the motherboard for the PA1000 is but if it's anything like the PA2000 that was installed in my C2 it won't be hidden terribly well. The monkies that 'installed' it simply threw it in rather than spend an extra hour and fitting it properly.

Just a thought, you might be able to follow one of the ultrasonic or imobiliser wires back to it.
