Have just in the last week brought a manual 3200GT after a 12year affinity with a variety of Porsches (944,968,993 and a 996). Got severly pis*** off with my local Porker dealer when I was looking to sell my 996 in a hurry as I had been offered a too good to miss opportunity working in the Middle East. Anyway, sales type chap at the Porker Main Dealer tried to make out that my car was some kind of Essex bodge job (Carrera 2 with GT3 body kit, factory upgraded engine and a shed load of techequipment for good measure, all factory fitted) Anyway, ended up selling it back to the specialist in a little village in Sussex that i'd brought it from (don't know if i'm allowed to name names on here). To cut a long story short went for a bit of Italian on my return to these shores. The car is the dogs bits (2000 manual), drives wonderfully, my only concern being transmission shunt associated with the hair trigger throttle mostly in town, and it seems to be especially prevalent on roundabouts, when i've been feathering the throttle, and then put the power down, in say second, is this normal? The car was at V??dis to have the cabin heater sorted before I took delivery, and nothing was said, so I assume it normal, I hope it is!!

Yep, that was my first question about my manual. Normal apparantly, thing just doesn't like being driven slowly!

Good choice!
