Cheers for the link Rico,
The man is to be congratulated for taking such a step, to improve upon what is in some eyes a flawed design and to somehow recreate some of Pininfarina's past beauties in a bang upto date production car, must be a simply massive but fantastically exciting undertaking. I suppose he has done the right thing by appointing the best in the business to help him achieve his goal. Hopefully (especially it is proven that downforce can be increased), it will show Ferrari what can be done, with a little more time and effort. I do worry about the way in which Ferrari design is going, but then again rather sadly, currently find myself in the financial position where it really does not matter a jot what my opinion is.
In my opinion, supercars should have a certain brutality about them, to help associate them with their racecar cousins/brothers/sisters. But I also firmly believe that whilst Ferrari should remain at the cutting edge of modern roadcar technology that they should be beautiful, first and foremost. Best to leave the brutality to Lamborghini/Pagani/Porsche.
I hope that Jim truly commissions and ends up with a "shock and awe" masterpiece and does not end up with a rebodied car in the mould of the GG50, which again IMHO, does nothing for me.
