Lexar or Sandisk?
Discussion
This is probably a no-brainer, but I am looking to get another CF card, and currently from Picstop the following are available (all inc VAT):
Lexar 80x WA Pro 1Gn - £54.88
Sandisk Extreme III 1Gb - £47.90
Lexar 80x WA Pro 2Gb - £108.29
Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb - £77.90
I normally use the Lexar cards, but any reason not to go for the Sandisk 2Gb? i.e. is there a catch??
(Camera is Minolta Dynix 7D)
Thanks for your opinions
Conrad.

simpo two said:No, I personally know two people who've had problems with Lexar cards unrelated to the Canon issue, plus didn't you recently have a problem with one?

Of all the problems I've heard about, they have always involved Lexar cards.
But that was with a particular Canon, no?

That was abuse; I tried to re-load images back onto it from PC to camera, something it was never designed to do. Try it with a Sandisk and see if it breaks
ive been copying stuff back onto cf cards through a card reader for years with no problems (sandisk/lexar/smaller brands)
Writing from a PC to the CF using a card reader is the Canon reccommended way to get firmware updates to my EOS 20D.
Cannot update using the Canon supplied software - DOH!
P.S. O've got a Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb with matching Sandisk card reader.
Downloads VERY fast and I've never had any problem with either.
