Thanks to UKBob our website is up and running!

For any PHers wanting a website designing, they could do much worse than use him themselves. A very affable chap, who helped me (trust me I need help when it comes to website design) get through what I thought was going to be a largely painful experience. Whilst I understand that our site is hardly the most technical challenge that Rob will face this year, I really do feel that I was treated as an equal and that the design of our site was as important to Rob as with any other paying client.

Barring one or two minor changes and some text alterations it's up and running at www.europaconsultants.co.uk .

Thanks for everything once again Rob.

Thanks steve You're very welcome, and it was a pleasure working with you

I see we've even made the breaking news

leagal disclaimer: Should anyone be foolish enough to follow the link to our own website, bear in mind the fact that:
1) It was created by me, a LONG time ago - I quit design in 2002 and hired people who are far more talented than I ever was.
2) The portfolio has never been updated, hence the links dont work. We've done dozens upon dozens of projects which arnt in there. ... busy mechanic and his own car syndrome

Nice site! Good design stuff.

If either of you ever need a heavyweight database application attached to the back end let me know! Shameless? Moi? I raise ShamelessSquared.

One point both of you might find useful...publishing your email addresses makes you highly vulnerable to spammers whose nasty little "spiders" will surely find these out in short order.

You might want to encode the email addresses as encrypted JavaScript. Perfectly Human readable...people can still click and email ... but it looks like bollox to the spider.

You can find an example here...

www.jracademy.com/~jtucek/email/download.php

The alternative will be to buy some serious anti-spam software in a couple of weeks...

"email harvesters" are software programs which spammers use, which run all day and night, surfing the internet endlessly following every link they find, looking for email addresses which can be added to spammers databases.

We can make the email addresses you uploaded via your cms appear invisible to the programs which look for email addresses for the purpose of spamming. Thus saving you some spam in the longrun

Sorry! Didn't mean to make work!

Its just I hate the evil spammers and ended up having to install "Brightmail" to eat it all up recently. (Which rocks BTW - if you do get a Spam problem Symantec Brightmail is the solution.)

So I'm on a mission to get everyone to encode their e-mail addresses to make life difficult for the filthy barstewards.
