I've recently purchased the Porsche roof rack system (including the ski rack that mounts on top).
The two bars that run across the roof are joined to the roof by some triangular feet that screw into the swivael panel openings on the roof of the car.
From the manual it looks like these feet sit flush with the roof of the car but on mine there's a gap of 5mm or so (even though they are securely fitted).
Has anyone else had this problem?
As for fitting the ski rack with the alan-key style screw driver that almost drove me insane.
Any comments warmly received.

What is going on!? It was only last week that I heard of someone getting 18 months out of a set of rears! Now people are putting roof racks on 911's! Surely there are laws against these types of things!?

Have you not put the rubber sponge thingies under the feet ...they then fill the 5mm gap from memory!!!

Tony,
Thanks for your helpful comments. Porsche kindly omitted the instruction manual so I had no idea where the foam bits fitted in.
Thunderfoot ... not sure I'm young enough to know what you mean.
