Apologies if I'm overstepping any rules, if so, Mods please feel free to do the necessary....

Chaps...I want to purchase a clear lamp set for my '98 C2...Essential Styling look to have the most competitive offering, but before I part with the wrong side of £800, has anyone got experience of dealing with these chaps?

Please feel free to PM/email me with any comments...just feeling a tad nervous about spending that sort of money on purely cosmetic items!

Thanks in advance

Spence

Spoken to Simon on many occasions at Porsche Club meetings and even though I've yet to buy anything he always gives me the time of day and is a genuinely top bloke.

bought a sports exhaust off them (well, not quite sure whether it was from them in the end or Promaxmotorsport who seem to be brothers in arms). Good comms, there was a problem with the exhaust - not their fault, the supplier (Janspeed) had forgotten a widget - they sorted it promptly and without fuss

Can only agree with the others comments, Simon has been great and I've had various bits from him. Would not hesitate to buy from him again.

Thanks again guys....I called him earlier to have a chat about the lights; he's going to call me back with confirmed pricing. (how the HELL am I gonna justify this to SWMBO??!!)...oh well, I'll take the 3am nappy-change slot for the next year to make up for it!

Spenny - We have all said Simon is good to deal with, but I just re-read your original post - £800 for lights - Have you heard of ebay?

Yep, have no fear, eBay's been my bestest friend this last couple of months with a custom mountainbike build....but been keeping an eye out for headlights and rear lights for ages...occassional ones, but they all go for new money (eBay madness strikes again)...either that or theyre the tango orange units which I already have.

There is a nice set of Xenon lamps on there at the moment, but looks as though thatll also go bonkers closer to the close time.

Other option is a breakers...awaiting a call back from them too.

Anyone want to sell me theirs? ...not as daft as it seems, may be worth changing back to orange lamps if selling car, and sell lamp set seperately....go-on!...someone?
