Anyone had this happen on the P&J? My GF has just rung me telling me her lovely mini has been keyed outside our house. We are very considerate at parking in that we always park over our own drive, so there is no way we have upset anyone. I guess its just mindless thuggery.

Anyone got a any techniques they have used?

cheers

it'll be just that- mindless .

i think it depends how deep the scratches are - if it's through the primer from what i have heard it'll need to be repainted - BUT it's amazing how cheaply some body shops seem to be able to a decent finish a mate in leeds thought he'd have to get the whole rear wing of his 307 dailydriver painted (it's about half of the car!) but in the end they were able to blend it all in quite convincingly for 80 quid ish.

if it's not too bad it's worth trying to Tcut it... i'd go to a body shop (or 3) and see what they say.

Cool. I bought some scratch-x and some other stuff, but i am in the US and so sadly not able to see the damage first hand. Is T cut ok to use on clear coat then?

Yup. Some PoS did the rear wing on ours the other week, doesn't look too bad but I'll find out Saturday when I clean it.... "Wish I'd caught them doing. It'd have been worth them doing it, just so I can catch them doing..."

Hey

I had my just a few days and some PoS keyed my drivers side rear panel even though it was parked in my driveway.

w"£kers.

Boy would I love to find out who did it.

Prices to get it fixed range from £200 inc VAT from Chipsaway in the UK, to £800 inc VAT from MINI garage.
