Andy,

That car has to be the loudest (and I have to admit the nicest) car I have ever heard, when you left Burnters on Saturday I could heard you from miles away - it was like 30 second's of thunder.

See you in Le Mans.

Mine had its Tubi silenced that day! I've rigged up a modification on the Tubi. Now when I want to silence it, the two mortar bomb tips have been cut about 18'' down from the ends. They are secured by 2 clamps and 2 bolts that means when you want a quieter exhaust for the track, they unscrew and pull off. Then on goes 2 slim horrid looking bits of thin pipe that silence them. Pass the noise meter test, then when the marshalls are'nt looking, pull over and put the Tubi tips back on! Works a treat

Rick,

Good to meet up with you and Simon at the weekend. Yep I have to admit that now with the cats off its sounds bloody awesome (reminiscant of a de-tuned F1 car?)I went into the village close to my house last weekend (bout 2 miles away)and my missus said she could hear me all the way there and back!! I'm sure I'm even more popular now with the neighbours!!

Good to see you and see you at le-mans.

Cheers

Andy.

Yes and no, love Si's Tubi but the de-catted Gallardo was very loud and deep but also free reving, difficult to describe fully. Si - I don't know whether you heard it but it sounded awesome.

Are the cats in the same place on the Gallardo ? (ie in the manifold)

Hi Simon,

Mines out of warranty now (hope there's no big bills on the way!)hence ditching the cats. I thought your pipes looked different, maybe you should market that as a track day silencing solution for Murcies?

Once again thanks for the drive and I'll see you guys soon.

All the best

Andy.
