Puzzled as to the MG entries, ok the cars are good racers and have been built and ready to race but apart from being moving advertising boards they are hardly going to sell cars.

Can't wait. Going down Saturday afternoon & camping. First race for me this year, maybe winters over now!
As for the MG's, I guess it shows not just how competitive the car still is, but how much money there isn't in motorsport that a 5(ish) year old car with no manufacturer backing is still there. (Also, the car is running the front end from a Mk2 and the back from a Mk1 -which might be because it looks best like that anyway).
