being a new tvr chimaera owner i dont know much about these cars so i need your help....
i got the car like 1 month ago and still have some to do...check the picture and let me know whats strange wit h it cos i think the headlamp glass had been replaced...with a non original part...

should you see that black plastic ring around the headlamp ??? or is it because of its done with wrong dimension glass ???

Mine does not have the black line, the headlamp GRP part reaches all the way to the glass.

The glass looks different as well.

I have emailed you (via profile) a similar angled picture of my headlamp.

Chima,

I don't think it's to do with the headlight glass, that looks correct. The problem you have looks like the fairing surrounding it might have been replaced, and doesn't fit properly, apparently they differ in fit from car to car. Because there isn't meant to ne that black gap. The guy who runs www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk can replace, spray and fit a new fairing for about £100 if I remember rightly! Looking at it again though maybe just the whole headlamp unit needs to be grought forward, one or the other.

yes also yours look different i guess they have put the wrong dimension glass and another type of plastic fairing around to my car before!
the other strange thing is while i was checking i coulndt finf the hole which is supposed to be in front of the tyre opennings !! how do you dismount the headlamps???

Only the later models have the holes in fron of the front wheels

You can eiterh cus a hole yourself or reach through the grill hole (wear a long sleeve shirt)

mine is year 97...
so i should order the new headlamps and the plastic surrounding to have it original state...
