Following on from this I'd be interested in people's opinions on Diablo's having covered 30,000+ Miles? Are the potential bills for such mileage sufficient to warrant running for the hills or are these things bullet proof enough that a full service history is 'good enough'?

From my experience these are good cars. They are relatively simple as they didn't have the complex electrics of the later cars and the engines are pretty strong as long as servicing has been correctly adhered to.

They do have issues with the cats breaking up so ideally get a car that has had them removed.

The boot floor can also corrode so check this area carefully. The interior is not very hard wearing and some of the fittings are a bit cheap.

As a driving experience they are not too polished but the engine/noise is incredible.

Evo had a buying guide which would be worth seeking out. Either way get it inspected.
